Friday’s Joker prize was won by Jean Fisher.

There was no fixture on Saturday for the gents but the club’s ladies were playing in the semifinals and finals for this year’s Bowls Scotland District 9 championships. Jean Fisher won the senior singles title whilst Jean and Becky Craig won the pairs title. They will now play in Ayr, later in the summer for the senior ladies and ladies pairs Scottish titles.

The ladies rink consisting of Carol McGown, Clair Howland, Linda McKenzie and Diana Cheyne won their semifinal tie and will play in the District final later this month. The ladies senior rink, Christine Kerr, Kay Fairgrieve, Linda McKenzie and Diana Cheyne lost their semifinal tie.

Christine Kerr and Lauren Forgie play in the third round of the West of Scotland pairs competition.

On Saturday 25 June four gents triple teams take part in the Pullar Trophy competition at various bowling clubs in the area.
